Our Commitment

Dedicated to supporting our rural communities through volunteering, local contributions, grants and more.

Communication Revitalization Efforts Increase Fire Department’s Dependability

Marshall County Fire No. 7 purchased two new radios and serviced six others. The renewed transmission equipment helps the department effectively respond to medical calls and accidents.

Besides grant funds – including a Working Here Fund grant from Frontier Farm Credit – and donations, the only funds the department receives are based on tax income.

Blue Rapids Rural Fire, a part of Marshall County Fire No. 7, is a volunteer department that protects and serves Marshall County, including the city of Blue Rapids and the surrounding rural area.

“Blue Rapids Fire will benefit, but the people and property we are trying to protect will also benefit from this upgrade.”
– Jason Hemry, Marshall County Fire No. 7 Chief
