Beginning in 2021, 29 new counties in eastern Kansas qualify for double-crop soybean crop insurance. Previously, this insurance was available (without a written agreement) only in Cherokee, Crawford, Labette, Montgomery, Neosho and Wilson counties.
NOTE: Termination means growth has ended. A crop that follows a cover crop that meets the criteria outlined in the Insurance Availability section of the Special Provision is considered NFAC.
Producers who have NFAC soybeans insured in these counties also must insure FAC soybeans in the county; there is no option to make the FAC soybeans uninsurable (unless planted after the Late Plant Period for soybeans in the county). Yields will be based on the farm’s reported yields; a T-yield will apply for those who don’t have farm records.
