Governance
Ronald E. Dunbar
Ron lives near Richmond in Franklin County. He raises a variety of crops and hay, and maintains a beef cow herd and backgrounds and finishes cattle.
Jim F. Feldkamp
Jim lives near Centralia in Nemaha County. He operates a diversified farming operation in partnership with his three brothers. Jim manages the sow farrow-to-finish swine operation.
William (Bill) N. Fleming
Bill lives in Lawrence in Douglas County. He is a business and tax attorney and is currently serving as general counsel for two businesses. He serves as an Appointed Outside Director.
Jennifer Gehrt
Jennifer lives near Alma in Wabaunsee County. She and her husband own a cattle ranch and heavy equipment operation. Jennifer is also the Director of Human Resources at Kansas State University. She serves as an Appointed Director.
Gerald L. Gerstner
Gerald lives near Frankfort in Marshall County and is involved in a grain and livestock farming operation with his son.
Alan J. Hess
Alan lives near Alma in Wabaunsee County. With his brother, he is a fifth-generation owner and manager of a family cattle ranch.
Larry Hoobler
Larry lives near Manhattan in Riley County. He has a cash grain farming operation consisting of corn, soybeans, and silage. He is a retired vocational ag teacher.
Bill Miller, Chair
Bill lives near Council Grove in Morris County. He owns and operates a ranch on which he runs commercial Angus cows. Additionally, he is Director of Communications for U.S. Premium Beef, LLC, and is part owner of the Hays House restaurant in Council Grove.
Clair D. Niles
Clair lives in Ottawa and farms a third generation farm in Coffey and Osage Counties. On both dryland and irrigated acres, he raises corn, milo, soybeans, soybean seed and hay. He also backgrounds and feeds beef cattle.
Burl W. Peckman, Vice Chair
Burl Peckman lives near Paola in Miami County. He and his brother raise corn, soybeans, wheat and milo, as well as buy and grow calves.
Steve Powers
Steve lives near Chanute in Neosho County. He is the owner/operator of a farm/ranch operation that includes wheat, corn, soybeans, brood cows and stocker cattle.
David L. Pracht
David lives near Westphalia in Anderson County. He has both cropland and pasture, maintaining a commercial cow/calf operation.
Donald Wissman
Don is a consultant living in Manhattan in Riley County. He was one of the founders of the Grain Industry Alliance and DPRA, a private research and consulting firm. He serves as an Appointed Outside Director.
Mark Wulfkuhle
Mark lives near Berryton in Douglas County. His farming operation includes corn, wheat, soybeans, alfalfa and hay, and he maintains a cow/calf herd. He also owns a chemical and fertilizer application company.
