I hope this article finds all of you in the middle of a successful harvest. We have some spot loss situations due to hail, wind, flood, disease and in some cases, loss of nitrogen due to excess moisture. For the most part, however, I have heard about excellent yields. Please consider the following key points at harvest time:
- Keep production records by unit. Mark your grain bins and identify all scale tickets by unit. Split tickets are NOT acceptable in the event of a claim.
